About the Family:
A family in Ballard is seeking a nurturing, experienced part-time nanny for their happy 5-month-old baby boy. They value a calm, loving environment and are looking for someone who truly enjoys infant care and early development. As a family, they love cooking, reading, and taking daily neighborhood walks, and would appreciate a nanny who enjoys getting outside.
They’re hoping to find a steady, trusted presence who can grow with their family over the next year or longer. They view a nanny as a true partner and value the insight of an experienced caregiver as they navigate parenthood.
Nanny Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have strong, hands-on experience caring for infants and be warm, nurturing, and patient. A deep understanding of infant development, routines, and cues is essential. The family is looking for someone who enjoys engaging babies through age-appropriate play, reading, and outings such as neighborhood walks or library visits. Experience with sleep training is a plus, and speaking a second language is also a plus. Comfort around cats is important, as the family has two.
Schedule & Details:
This is a part-time position offering 16–20 guaranteed hours per week, with flexibility across 3–5 days per week, preferably mornings. The family is open to adjusting the schedule for the right nanny. They are seeking a minimum one-year commitment.
Responsibilities are child-related only and include tidying baby areas, cleaning and organizing bottles and feeding items, and keeping baby-related spaces clean and organized. The position pays $30–35/hour DOE and offers guaranteed hours.
